The Officer of the Commissioner of Income Tax invites application from eligible meritorious Sports persons for the following Posts in the Income Tax Department, Delhi I, under the following sports / Games namely, Archery, Athletics, Badminton, basketball, Boxing, Chess, Cricket, Football, Golf, Gymnastics, Hockey, Kabaddi, Table Tennis, Tennis, Weight Lifting and Wrestling.

Details of the Vacant Posts under Sports Quota :

1. Inspector
Total No. of Posts : 05 (UR – 04, OBC – 01)
Scale of Pay : Rs.9300 – 34800/- + GP  Rs.4600/-

Educational Qualification : Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from a recognised University
Age Limit : 18 – 27 years as on 25th October 2012 (Relaxation – UR/OBC – 5 yrs ; SC/ST – 10 yrs)

2. Tax Assistant
Total No. of Posts : 25 (UR – 14, OBC – 07, SC – 03, ST – 01)
Scale of Pay : Rs.5200 – 20200/- + GP  Rs.2400/-
Educational Qualification : Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from a recognised University and having data entry speed of 8000 key depressions per hour
Age Limit : 18 – 27 years as on 25th October 2012 (Relaxation – UR/OBC – 5 yrs ; SC/ST – 10 yrs)

3. Stenographer Grade III
Total No. of Posts : 07 (UR – 04, OBC – 02, SC – 01)
Scale of Pay: Rs.5200 – 20200/- + GP  Rs.2400/-
Educational Qualification : 12th Pass or equivalent
Age Limit : 18 – 27 years as on 25th October 2012 (Relaxation – UR/OBC – 5 yrs ; SC/ST – 10 yrs)

How to Apply : Candidates are required to apply in the prescribed format. The application complete in all respects with necessary enclosures like attested copies of documents in support of Age, Qualification, Sports eligibility certificate, Caste certificate etc should be addressed to the Additional Commissioner of Income – Tax (Hqrs.Personnel), Room No. 378, C.R.Building, I.P.Estate, New Delhi – 110 002. The envelope must be superscribed as ” application for the post of Inspector / Tax Assistant / Stenographer GR III under sports Quota” (In capital letters), and with the name of Sport mentioned clearly.

Format for the Application : 1) Candidate’s name, 2) Permanent Address, 3) Communication Address, 4) Sex, 5) Date of Birth, 6) Age as on 01.03.2010, 7) Whether SC/ST/OBC with Nativity, 8) Educational Qualification, 9) Proficiency and achievements in Games and Sports along with Form 1 / Form 2 / Form 3, 10) Current Performance (full details indicating whether the candidate is now representing the State, University). True copies of educational qualifications, evidence of Date of Birth, SC/ST/OBC certificate in standard form attested by Gazetted Officer of State/Central Government, should be submitted along with the application.
